Invisalign Treatment: What’s involved?

How long do I have to wear them?

Invisalign® clear braces should be worn for at least 20 to 22 hours per day to get the desired results.

It is fine to remove your brace while eating and brushing your teeth.

Invisalign® treatments typically last a few months however in more complex cases it can be longer.

Your orthodontist can advise you of the estimated duration of your treatment.

Do Invisalign braces hurt?

Aligners are generally changed every two weeks which means that every couple of weeks your teeth will moved into a new position.

Patients often find that their teeth can be sore for the first couple of days after wearing their new brace, however this can easily be managed with over the counter painkillers.

One recommendation would be to put your new orthodontic brace on at night before you go to bed so your teeth will adjust as you sleep rather than having sore teeth all day.
