Our endodontic treatment
If the pulp tissue in the root chamber beneath a tooth becomes infected, it can result in severe and constant pain.
In such cases, endodontic therapy, or root canal treatment is necessary to alleviate these symptoms and prevent the risk of further infection.
Treating a root canal infection is important not only because the condition can cause debilitating pain.
However, if left untreated, root canal infections can result in abscesses and eventually tooth loss.
The process of endodontic treatment
During root canal therapy, the gum tissue is first anesthetised to ensure the patient’s comfort.
A small pilot hole is then drilled through the top of the tooth to provide access to the root chamber.
The infected tissue is then removed, the chamber filled with inert dental putty, and the tooth is sealed.
A pain free solution for our patients
Contrary to popular belief, this procedure is entirely pain-free.
However, we also provide NuCalm during treatment for nervous patients.
